Painting furniture and kitchens is in one key respect much the same as painting any other surface; the secret to a beautiful and lasting finish is in the thoroughness of your preparation. Sanding, filling and stain treatment is paramount, followed by undercoating or underpainting with a contrasting colour to achieve a particular effect. There are no shortcuts to a high-quality finish.<\/p>\n

We specialise in New England, French Ch\u00e2teaux and Country House style paint finishes and particularly excel in achieving an authentically aged or distressed finish, to varying degrees of subtlety. We are also accomplished in the treatment of newly installed cabinetry, both timber and MDF, for a crisp, clean and contemporary finish.<\/p>\n

Updating an old or tired piece of furniture, or your entire kitchen, is a very cost-effective way to breathe new life into a room. For us, it\u2019s extremely satisfying and rewarding to revive and rejuvenate furniture that may otherwise have been disposed of or replaced at greater expense. Over the years we have developed our own techniques and processes, across various applications, maintaining exceptionally high standards. Of course not all<\/em> furniture is suitable for painting, generally due to materials used in its construction or surface finishes. We will always assess your furniture\u2019s suitability and advise accordingly.<\/p>\n
